SUMMER IN VAL THORENS
In summer, Val Thorens offers a wide range of exciting activities for visitors seeking adventure and discovery. This lively mountain resort is full of ways to enjoy the surrounding countryside. Activity teams organise group games, music and cultural activities for children, teenagers and adults. Here are some of the activities you can enjoy in Val Thorens during the summer. From May to November, Val Thorens and the Belleville Valley offer outstanding downhill mountain-bike trails, with links to Courchevel and Méribel. During the summer season, specially equipped lifts carry bikes and riders to the top of the trails. The resort’s Multi-loisirs pass gives access to more than 25 activities. There is hiking for all levels, as well as via ferrata, ziplining, treasure hunts, laser games, farm visits, team sports, tennis, archery, table tennis, swimming, quad-bike hire, mountain karting, paragliding and lake fishing. You can also join activities exploring the environment, wildlife, plants and stars. For 1 week in August, the resort hosts Val Trophy, a week of sport, social events and celebrations, with challenges for both keen athletes and families — an event not to miss.
